1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

1.1 A binding contract is formed when "Jew Ride " private passenger transportation service (“JR” or “we”) issues a booking confirmation or when you access https://Jewride.com (the “Site”). If you do not accept these Terms, do not use our service or Site.

2. DEFINITIONS

2.1 Consumer Rider: An individual booking principally for personal, family or household purposes.

2.2 Business Rider: Any party booking on behalf of a business, government, or other organisation.

2.3 Remote Agreement: A contract concluded solely by email, phone, web form or other electronic means, as defined in Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (the “CPA”).

2.4 Content: All text, graphics, logos, photos, audio, video, code and data on the Site.

Independent Contractor Model:

JR arranges transportation services through independent contractor drivers (“ICs”). ICs are not employees, partners, or agents of JR .

JR provides booking, dispatch, and customer service functions, while each IC is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, licensing, insurance, and safe operation of their vehicle.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JR’s role is limited to arranging and facilitating rides; JR does not provide transportation directly. Riders acknowledge that all transportation is performed by ICs under their own licences and insurance. JR is not liable for the independent acts, omissions, or violations of ICs, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under Ontario consumer law.

Each IC has agreed to indemnify and hold JR harmless against any claims, fines, or damages arising from their operation. Where required by law, JR will cooperate with regulators and riders to resolve disputes, but responsibility for on-road compliance remains with the IC.

3. BOOKING & CONTRACT FORMATION

3.1 Quotes are non-binding until payment details are provided and JR issues written confirmation.

3.2 You must supply accurate pick up/drop off details, passenger numbers, luggage volume and special requirements at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse carriage where information is materially inaccurate or incomplete.

3.3 Changes requested <24 h before pick up are treated as new bookings and subject to availability.

4. STATUTORY RIGHT TO CANCEL (REMOTE AGREEMENTS)

4.1 Consumer Riders who enter into a Remote Agreement may cancel within ten (10) days of receiving the confirmation and obtain a full refund, per CPA s.26.

4.2 If service is booked to occur within that 10 day window you expressly waive the cooling off right to the extent permitted by law and will owe the prorated portion already performed.

5. SERVICE DELIVERY & WAITING TIME

5.1 Vehicles aim to arrive at or shortly before the scheduled pick up time. Traffic, weather, security and Force Majeure events can delay arrival.

5.2 First 15 min of waiting for city pick ups (45 min for airport arrivals) are included. Thereafter, waiting time is billed in 15 min increments at the prevailing hourly rate for the booked vehicle class.

6. FEES, CHARGES & PAYMENT

6.1 Fares shown include driver, fuel, No including tolls, standard parking, additional stops.

6.2 All amounts are due in full at the earlier of (a) booking confirmation or (b) completion of service, unless JR has approved credit in writing.

6.3 Additional Charges: JR reserves the right to levy additional charges for waiting time, cleaning, damages, rescheduling, tolls, parking, or other operational costs. These charges may be applied to the stored payment method without further authorization, and a receipt will be provided.

Vouchers & Promotions:

JR may issue promotional codes or ride credits (“Vouchers”). Vouchers are single-use, non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire as listed or 90 days from issue if not stated. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash and are void if sold or transferred.

Payment Methods:

Payment accepted by major credit/debit cards (Stripe, Square, or equivalent), direct invoice, or approved corporate account. JR may pre-authorize payment at booking and collect full payment at ride completion. The Rider authorizes JR to process payment via any provided method, including backup cards, to recover outstanding balances.
